The Rotary Club of Kolhapur Central, in association with the Rotary Club of Horizon Kolhapur, successfully organised a Joint Fellowship & Guest Speaker Meeting on the occasion of World Population Day. The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen friendship, fellowship, and bonding between the members of both clubs while creating awareness on an important civic issue. The Guest Speaker, Rtn. Suryakant Patil, delivered an informative and thought provoking session on "SIR (Special Intensive Revision) – Electoral Roll Revision." He explained the purpose of the Special Intensive Revision, its significance in protecting every citizen's constitutional right to vote, and the procedure to verify and update electoral records. He also informed the audience that 29th July 2026 is the last date announced by the Government of Maharashtra for completing the revision process and urged everyone to ensure that their names and the names of their family members are correctly included in the electoral roll. The meeting successfully fulfilled its twin objectives of strengthening Rotary fellowship and creating awareness about an important democratic responsibility, leaving all participants better informed and more connected.
